What Is SPIRE

SPIRE (Social Action for Innovative Progress, Research & Education) is Pakistan's pioneering independent academic consultancy.

Objectives – 2023-24

Dr. Afshan H. Khattak

Founder & Lead Researcher Dr. Afshan H. Khattak is the Founder and Lead Instructor at SPIRE, with extensive experience in pediatrics, public health, and medical education. She has led groundbreaking projects on acute respiratory infections (ARI), antimicrobial resistance (AMR), child survival, and simulation-based medical training. Her work bridges the gap between research and practice, empowering both healthcare professionals and institutions in underserved areas of Pakistan. Through SPIRE, she has collaborated with universities, teaching hospitals, and international partners to promote evidence-based solutions that improve maternal, neonatal, and child health outcomes.

What is SPIRE?

SPIRE is a registered academic consultancy in Pakistan. SPIRE stands for “Social Action for Progressive Innovation, Research & Education.”

How do you customize your solutions to meet needs?

SPIRE has three main wings; SPIRE – Child, SPIRE – Health and SPIRE – Education. The main purpose of all three wings is to work with the communities to come up with innovative solutions to their problems. We believe that with social action, proper research and a will to act, any community or individual can overcome their hardship and live a meaningful and beneficial life.

What are the advantages of joining SPIRE?

SPIRE is committed to assisting all our members and collaborators in getting their genuine data published globally, to work together towards out-of-the-box solutions and to learn and grow together.

Are their any charges for services by SPIRE?

Most of the services are free. Almost all the services for medical students are free. Services where external experts are invited or courses are offered are charged with as low of a charge as possible.

Is SPIRE a research writing service?

No, SPIRE is not a writing service. We provide manuscript help, statistical analysis and publishing support, but we are not a writing service. We never publish fake data and we never offer gift or ghost authorships. We do not publish in predatory journals and we condemn unethical practices in any field especially in field of research.

Are their provisions for institutional collaborations?

Yes, we are in collaboration with Mardan Medical Complex, Bacha Khan Medical College, Khyber Teaching Hospital, Hayatabad Medical Complex and hoping to further our impact in other organizations and institutions in near future.
